Inclusive Preschool and Pediatric Therapy Clinic
Architecture begins with an idea. Good design solutions are not just merely interesting but are driven by understanding ideas. An idea is a specific mental structure by which we organize, understand and give meaning to external experiences and information. Architecture resides in the DNA of a building, as an embedded sensibility that infuses its whole.
The central idea that creates High Hopes is that the teachers and students are a community and this building that is its home. It serves as not only a Preschool providing early childhood education and childcare in an inclusive environment giving children the confidence to try new things, but as a therapy clinic providing exceptional physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapy for children from birth to age 21.
CMArchitects completed High Hopes in 2013, but thanks the schools success, the school underwent a major addition in 2018. CMArchitects was chosen as the architect, again, for the new project of almost doubling the school size and by providing more classrooms and business wing for operations
